For the good points: We were enthusiastically greeted by Matthew the front desk manager. He made sure we were comfortable in our room. The room was great if you are traveling with children or teens. We had a separate area with sofa/sleeper, desk and tv. The other side of the room had 2 queens size beds, tv, micro, & fridge. The beds were ok not too lumpy yet. Although upon arrival we only had 3 bath towels for 4 people we called and they sent more towels up instantly. Any time we needed anything they were quick to respond. Great location close to many great restaurants, shopping and within walking distance to many attractions. Also, metro line close by. We loved that mass transit system is so easy to use. We bought a transit pass and used it all day for metro & bus. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good even though they served the same thing every morning. You had eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, hot oatmeal with nuts, cinnamon, brown sugar etc, cereals and breads. Security to rooms was good as you had to have your key to get the elevator moving.
Now for the minor bad points: Even on the 12th floor you could hear the firetruck sirens - but only time it was a problem was on Saturday night. The rest of the time it was not bad at all. We opted to park our own vehicle. The parking fee was a bit steep, but we had in and out privileges. Just let the hotel know you want to park it yourself and they will provide you with a card to get into the garage. It was just 1 block over. There was not alot of room in the bathroom to store toiletries, etc. It is so easy to have built in shelves below the sink or have shelves built in on either side of the mirror, When you have 4 or max 5 people in a suite you need lots of room on the vanity or selves or hooks in bathroom! Also, the door had a gap of about 1/2 inch at the bottom that let in light from hallway and noise from the hallway. I know they slip you an invoice the night before your departure but you don't need that big of a gap on the bottom of the door.
