“Last night in Chicago”

What a great find and a nice night walk on Michigan Avenue. Tight seating so little privacy but food made it worth it. A great way to wrap up a week in Chicago.

“Not even up to Texas Roadhouse standards”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

Honestly -- I've had better at Texas Roadhouse for half the price. We had a reservation, but waited about 10 minutes. Then, as our names were called, another customer pushed up to the desk and asked to speak with a manager, which should have been a warning. The host who was supposed to seat us just stood there listening to the customer's complaint and ignoring us; we finally had to ask him to seat us. We should have known better and left. The restaurant is dark, noisy, and crowded. Service was very slow and, although they were pleasant enough, not up to standard. The server who took our orders did not deliver the food or even check back with us until it was time to present the bill. We ordered a grilled shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were overcooked and extremely salty. I had a supposed filet mignon kebab, ordered medium rare. It came rare and was tough and chewy, with a lot of membrane and a tendon running through it. If it was filet mignon, it was the end pieces. The vegetables -- wedges of red onion and chunks of bell pepper -- were completely raw; just charred a little on the edges. I didn't eat most of it, but could not complain because the table was cleared by someone other than our server, and even though nearly the entire thing went back, no one asked if there were a problem. The only good thing in the entire meal was the bed of fried onion strings under the shrimp.

“Weber Grill”
Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

Went the the Weber Grill for a business dinner. Service and food were good. The waiters were very attentive and helpful with the menu. Everyone enjoyed the sirloins. I got the prime rib, it was cooked perfectly. The menu says the prime rib is smoked and it tasted that way, which was good but different than what you would normally expect. The sampler plater made for a good appetizers, especially with a big group. I would go back.

“Good Old Fashioned BBQ”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Just like the old days with the charcoal grill in the backyard. The food is cooked on charcoal grills and gives that authentic flavor. I sat at a counter and was able to watch the Grillmasters at work. It was a great experiance. The combination (ribs & chicken) was great. The service was excellent.
