“Tea Service”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

My friend and I had a wonderful weekend planned in Chicago and the Tea Service at The Drake was a must. We were greeted by Joe, the Bartender at The Palm Court at the Drake. He recommended the Chrysanthemum Cocktail, which is THE best cocktail I've ever enjoyed! Then, we had the Tea Service, which was over the top. Such lovely service and food in a lovely, charming Hotel. Highly recommend!

“Nan Mason and Terry Higgins entertainment at the Palm Court can't miss!”
Reviewed 1 February 2014 via mobile

If Nan and Terry are playing at Palm Court you can't miss them!!! They are amazing! We continue to return to Chicago and every time we seek out Nan & Terry! They are so talented and entertaining. Nan and her voice and humor...and Terry...keyboards, horns...sax, fluegelhorn, trumpet.....amazing!!

We return again and again to The Palm. Court at the Drake to see them and will continue to do so!

“tea on Christmas Day”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

Such a charming thing to do on Christmas afternoon. The tea is a lovely throw-back to a time when things were generally slower and people took time out for such luxuries. Every aspect of it was just delightful...the service, the food, the tea itself, and the "adult beverages", too. I hope to do this again, even when it's not Christmas. It would be lovely any afternoon.

“Won't go at Xmas again”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

Our mistake was going for tea on Xmas eve. It was just too busy. We felt rushed and the service, while perfectly competent, was so businesslike that it took all of the "special" out of our visit. Liked the carolers and food was fine, although clearly made well ahead. After asking for a slight modification for our kids (no mayo) they brought out much fresher sandwiches they'd just made for us so that was a plus. I would be happy to go there again at a different time of year, can anyone tell me if it's better then?
