Recently attended a concert for a solo artist and his guitar at Schubas and it was great. The room was small enought and limited attendance that you still had room to move around and could see the stage, and the performer could interact with the entire audience. The sound was great and the beer was cold. Will definitely go back for more concerts.

Went to a concert at Schubas. I like the set up..entering through the bar gives you the perk of showing early and beelining to the line when people start arriving. Bartender was friendly as was the doorman for the show!

I used to love going to Schubas when I lived in Chicago and I just went back recently. The macaroni and cheese is to die for. It's both creamy and cheesy all at once, and you can add different toppings for variety like chicken or shrimp. The prices are very reasonable and they have a decent beer selection. I've had dishes other than the mac and cheese and they're all pretty good. If you want a sandwich, try the pulled pork. You can always order a side of the macaroni and cheese if the platter is too much (and they serve you a huge casserole dish size, enough to feed 4 people). If you're in the neighborhood and want some good American food, I'd recommend this place any day!

Waitress did not bring correct drink order. Ambiance good. Music too loud for us old folks to have conversation.

One of my favorite places to catch a show in Chicago, great intimate concert venue. Also, great food in the restaurant, the mac and cheese is amazing! Friendly helpful bar staff and door staff make it an enjoyable experience all around.
