This small place, hidden away in Chicago's financial district is a gourmet gem. Owner Amy Le moved here after a successful run with a food truck, and she has brought with her some of her best recipes and added much more. For a great start try the the tostones; twice fried plantains topic with delicious coconut aioli and pineapple salsa. The bahns (Vietnamese sandwiches) are to die for; pick curry chicken, or short rib, or roasted garlic pork...you cannot lose. The place also offers yummy tacos, hearty rice bowls, soups and salads. She also offers cinnamon or banana nutella beignets for breakfast. There's only seating for 12-16 people so either arrive early for lunch or carry-out. You will not be disappointed.

This place it great, truly unique menu. Right in the financial district so if you're heading in right on the lunch hour, prepare you're self.. they'll be busy! So far I've tried the Sofrito Marinated Shrimp Baco (bao - taco!) and the pork ramen both were so good! I went back right the next day to order the same thing. The ramen is just delicious with big hunks of tender juicy pork and the broth has the right amount of spiciness. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Glad I found this place, can't wait to try their other items!

I had seen the Saucy Porka as part of a show on WGN called Chicago’s Best. We love spicier food and while on a trip to Chicago decided to stop by the Saucy Porka. We were able to fit in a stop at about 10:30 in the morning just before a walking tour of Chicago and met Amy Le, the owner and the one that had been interviewed by WGN. We ordered a spicy breakfast sandwich (Chorizo Egg Banh Mi) that just melted in your mouth, the Pork Ramen noodle bowl that my wife thought was to die for and the Soy Ginger Tofu Bao that was awesome tasty.
It was a pleasure to talk to Amy (fortunately it was a slow time) and the food was amazing. Make it a stop, you won’t regret it!
