“Relaxing and informative”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

After a very busy travel/shopping day my teenage daughter and I booked the 9 am Historical/Architectural Cruise and enjoyed it immensely. Loved the smaller, wooden tour boat and the fact that it had a smaller group on board. Really enjoyed getting both out on the lake and into the river. The guide was fantastic, with a fun narrative of the history of Chicago and his obvious enthusiasm for it's architecture. It was a cool morning so the hot coffee hit the spot. Also appreciated the fact that the tour started and ended on time. We disembarked feeling relaxed and a lot more knowledgeable about Chicago.

“Not Much To Enjoy”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

We signed up for the 6pm cocktail cruise expecting it to be just that. We paid the night before online and only when we got to the cruise did we discover that the cocktails were not included. We purchased the "open bar" bracelets. We had asked what the price would be and were told they would be $20. Only after my wife looked at the receipt on the boat did we discover that each bracelet was $20. Believe me that is way too much to spend. The speakers were not working well where we were seated, so we had to stand in order to hear the commentary. The cruise itself is nice except when water splashed over the front of the boat with several people getting wet and water was all over the floor. Others have obviously enjoyed the cruise. I would only say that for us it was not as good as we had hoped.

“Spectacular!”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

We had a few hours to kill before our flight left, so we signed up for the Architectural Tour of the
city. It was so beautiful, relaxing and informative, we were enthralled!! Even our 22 year old "bored" son couldn't take enough photos! The guide was VERY well informed about he history of the beautiful buildings and answered all our questions. The cruise meandered through the city on the Chicago river and the views were terrific! Staff was very professional and there was no problem getting a refund for one of our group who couldn't make it at the last minute.
Beverages and light snacks were available for our morning cruise. We LOVED it and would do it again!

“Early morning cruise”
Reviewed 21 December 2012

We took the early morning cruise at 8:00 AM and it was terrific. Along with a discount you get coffee, muffins and juice. And, since the week we were there it was over 100 degrees every day (and usually over 95 by 10 AM) the temperatures were almost tolerable. This cruise did the lake AND the river. Get one that does both - there are great views on each leg of the cruise. The tour guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgable and entertaining. Great views of Chicago's most amazing architecture.

“Great info, beautiful views”
Reviewed 5 November 2012

Our boat guide was a grad student who gave us all the in's and out's of the current and past Chicago architecture. I lived in Chicago for three years and 90% of what he was telling me was all new information for me. We had a great day to see everything and after every description he was more then happy to answer any questions we had. The tour was an easy boat ride for anyone to take and whether you are a tourist, new to the area, or a long time resident, I highly suggest this group above any other. Just a short walk from Navy Pier you could combine the two for a fun day. Plus you get free coffee, tea and cookies! What not to like.
