“The Best Hidden Attraction in Chicago - Garden's of Every Type = Love in Many Languages”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

If you love flowers than this is paradise. There are so many to see and the smell...mmmm....yummm, it's perpetual spring.

Going here is an oasis from the city. Inside you will find winter left behind (you can't wear a coat, you die from the heat) and you see spring before anyone else does. The walkways are easy to navigate and pictures are so easy to take because there is no bad spot. Every corner, every turn is a new surprise. Smile the whole time you're here because when you leave you'll feel sad.

So come often. After all, it's FREE and the benches beckon you.

“Most Beautiful Place in Chicago”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

What a gift the Conservatory is! Free all year round, the best time to go is the dead of winter. Just sitting there smelling the flora is enough to put me in a peaceful, meditative state. The structure itself is amazing and the place is huge. The Palm House is amazing. The Fern Room is too. Parking is easy. I say the same thing to all my friends , "You have to check this place out!"

“Scary location but awesome! ”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

This is a great place to come to and relax, especially in the middle of a freezing Chicago winter. Beautiful plants and flowers all around. The neighborhood around it can get quite scary, so just be careful!

“Diamond in the Rough”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

If you are looking for something spectacular to do that is free in Chicago, this is the place for you. This huge gorgeous conservatory sits in not the greatest neighborhood in Chicago, but it is beyond amazing. It is well worth the drive to the far west side of Chicago. Afterwards go a little furether west and check out Oak Park.
