Staying at the Hard Rock made a visit to Chuck's very convenient. We were not disappointed. Two of us ordered the prime rib sandwich and we quickly realized we could have shared one. The sandwiches and bucket of sausages were great.
Also ate their for breakfast and that was more average.

We came in for a late dinner, and the server made it very obvious he was not happy to see us. He was not knowledgeable when it came to our wine selection, in fact he said he had not tried them since November and couldn't remember. They dropped off the appetizer in a haste, with no side plates and never came back until they took the plate away. They dropped off dinner and never dropped off forks. So we got up and got our own. We won't be back, however the food was really good. The steaks was cooked perfectly and the Mac and cheese was amazing!

Good food and fairly priced. It is easier to find the restaurant from Michigan Ave than inside the hotel.

Stopped at Chuck's on a Saturday afternoon, was looking forward to a full menu but they start dinner at 4pm, therefore ordered appetizers, we had the charred edamame, and the chicken wings both of these items were delicious and extremely well flavored, will return again to taste their dinner menu.

While the hamburger--well overpriced--may be "delicious," we had "Scottish" salmon and a strip steak. Our mistake. The salmon was okay, but the steak -- though cooked MR as requested -- was about the worst I've had in Chicago. Tough to say the least; flavorful only because of heavy salting in a cooking sauce otherwise undescribably; fingerling potates that ranged from underdone(!!!) to grease soaked (they were 'artiistically' served under the steak). Cocktails were NYC prices (my "dry martini" had a lot of vermouth, too) and beers -- a goodly selection with a few boring choices (why Coors Light on tap???) -- were SF prices or a bit dearer.
Go for the (currently) $24.00 hamburger if you want to pay that much, but look askance at the rest of the menu. Service was amateurish, but nice.
