“Awesome Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014

Each staff member we encountered was incredibly helpful and efficient. We were pleasantly surprised how great the location was! In anticipation of going to Wrigley Field many times during our stay, we were pleased to determine that it was a short 10 minute walk and close to the Red Line Addison train station which took us straight to downtown and to the White Sox game. The neighbourhood itself offered plenty of great food, shopping and entertainment options. We felt safe walking around - including walking the main streets after dark. This is a great place to stay which isn't right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of downtown but within an easy transit ride. Although the hotel isn't huge and doesn't have a large array of fancy amenities, it also doesn't pretend to be anything more than a great place to stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

I could't have been happier with my stay at the Best Western. The price was reasonable and when I arrived I realised that for the price, the room was great, that and the fact I got agree upgrade to a higher grade of room.

The rooms are a good standard, large, spacious and with lots of amenities... kitchenette with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, sink and coffee machine. There is complimentary water in the rooms (a luxury these days) and free breakfast is included. The breakfast isn't amazing but it does the job and was fine for me.

The service was great and the front desk staff were absolutely lovely, helpful and friendly. They quite happily stored my luggage for me after check out so I could go downtown for the day until my flight.

I would definitely stay here again. I usually stay at the Hyatt in Chicago and for the money this hotel tears strips off them.

Nice looking rooms. Comfortable with recently renovated furnishings. It is very convenient. Parking is good for a fee of $25 per day next door. This is a nice place and I would recommend it. Internet access was a problem and hotel staff could not get it resolved during my two day stay. The king size bed was nice and the shower was new with overhead rain forest type of head. Breakfast was adequate but not home cooked.

We needed a hotel for a night in Chicago and booked a room online. The booking was very easy. We arrived in the afternoon and checked in easily. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to a King bed room. The location is fantastic with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Wrigley Field is also an easy walk. The Addison Red Line is a 10 minute walk away. The hotel has a small but adequate fitness center including a hot tub and dry sauna. We used the sauna and it was quite nice. There were plenty of towels available. There is also a complimentary breakfast. When we were there it included boiled eggs, cereals, potatoes, sausage, eggs and breads of all types. There were also fruit, juices, coffee and tea. The facility was clean, the room was large and well appointed. There was an extra blanket and pillow in the closet. There was free WiFi and they also had a public computer for guests to use. We will definitely stay here every time we come back to Chicago!

We visited for a very snowy, cold weekend. The location was perfect for us as we walked to our friend's home for a party. Lots of great restaurants in the area. The hotel itself was very nice. It's a renovated older building with lots of charm. Therefore, the rooms were on the small side, but very modernly furnished, clean and comfortable. The breakfast area and lobby were very small, but not a big deal. We just brought our breakfast to our room. The public parking garage is right next door if you had a car. We took the train and a bus from the airport and walked the few blocks from the bus stop. Very convenient for us, but rather far from "The Miracle Mile".

We were coming to Chicago to get married and wanted to be able to relax in a nice quaint neighborhood. This was far above our expectations. The local shops and residents were just wonderful. And very, very east to get back Downtown on a single bus in 15 minutes! Perfect!

I went to Chicago for a family reunion in March. My entire family stayed at the Best Western. When we got there, we checked in, then went to our room. The room was spacious and was very comfortable. It was nice that whenever we went downstairs to the lobby, we saw a family member. There was a small section in the lobby with a layout of teas, coffee, and cocoa mix. The staff were very polite. Whenever we walked out of our rooms, we were always greeted by them. The location was perfect. It was in the middle of everything. My stay at the Best Western Plus Hawthorn Terrace was very nice, and if you need to stay in that area, this is the hotel for you. Thank you for taking your time to read my review.
