This is one hotel name to remember! The location is perfect for most of the sights. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with an old style charm and good WiFi. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and the price is very reasonable. The diner recommended to us by the doorman became our regular breakfast joint.

This is indeed a great boutique hotel that lives up to its high rating. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was nicely appointed and large. The location is ideal - about 3 blocks from Michigan Ave. at the Hancock Tower. The street has a neighborhood feel to it; coffee and multiple restaurant choices are close at hand and I felt safe walking around with my two children. Our room was in the back so it was extremely quiet, though a bit dark. If you like a high end experience in a smaller environment, this is the perfect place.

Well located, cozy and so very comfortable. But you always remember a hotel by the interactions with staff. From concierge's assistance with plans prior to our Chicago weekend, to front desk, bell men, restaurant and housekeeping, every single person was amiable, helpful and warm. Minor issues were instantly resolved. Breakfast at Mercadito on the sidewalk was delicious. The expected such as comfortable bed, luxury linens, quiet, dark, good air conditioning was all there. A delightful experience. Can't wait to repeat.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a deluxe room, well worth it!

While we sometimes stay in those big monster, nonpersonal hotels, we always love staying in the calmer, boutique hotels. The Talbott Hotel has always been a favorite. No, the elevators aren't fast, no, it doesn't have coffee/tea urns in the lobby, but what it does have is a great location off of the miracle mile (we prefer being on the northern part in this area in general, and is quiet and well run. The beds are very comfortable and the sheets wonderful. Internet worked fine. The room had its own coffee maker and the bathroom had Molly Brown products. Our room looked upon another building so the room was dark, but we had sufficient lights by the bed so who cared? My only small--very small--issue is that the cleaning

Room Tip: I always try to stay away from the elevator as people often talk when waiting.

Go to hotel in Chicago for great service, amenities and a Mini Mac in your room. Could access my Netflix and see it on the big screen. Located just off the Magnificent Mile and easy access to the sights you want to see. Wonderful place to stay. Had dinner at Mercadito's , the adjoining restaurant, which was quite good. Neighborhood has an upscale local feel and Delaware is a nice walking street to the bidder avenues for shopping.

If you want to avoid the hub-bub of the large noisy hotels, we enthusiastically recommend the Talbott. It is a small hotel in a wonderful neighborhood a couple of blocks from Michigan Avenue. The location is perfect because you're a few blocks from the Magic Mile, but in a very quiet location. Not a lot of street noise. The outdoor café is absolutely great for the food and for people-watching. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The streets are tree-lined and pleasant. There's a nice park two blocks away. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and quiet. Service was friendly and professional. The concierge service was top-notch. We were also pleasantly surprised at the rate. We've stayed in luxury hotels for twice the price for half the quality. A cool touch (probably not in all rooms): there is a tiny "ramp" leading into the shower - the floor towel is rolled and placed in such a way that when you open the shower door, the towel unwinds across the floor into perfect position!. We thoroughly enjoyed the Talbott.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the street, if available. Not a lot of street noise.

Great staff, location, and property! Terievis was excellent right from my check-in and provided personalized service and availability throught the team's stay. Rooms were quaint, with warm decor and the hotel's staff was courteous and timely with support. Our sales team numbered 20 in total and everyone felt this was a great hotel and location.
