We had the vegan pizza for starters which was very nice, and the enchiladas for the main which were a bit on the bland side. The enchiladas were stuffed with garlic mashed potatoes, and were accompanied with black beans and rice. This heavy carb dish (bread, potato, beans and rice) meant that we struggled to clear our plates, and it was all a bit stodgy and lacking flavour.
The service was very slack for a gourmet restuarant, or perhaps it was just the waiter that we ended up with who was not very good at his job. He brought out the starters without any knives and forks, brought out our mains when we were still eating our starters (and didn't take away the plates for the starters, or give us new cutlery for the mains), gave us a glass of wine each when we asked for a bottle, didn't say goodbye when we left the restaurant, and I noticed he was the only waiter wearing white trainers with his black uniform!
I would say that if we had have ordered a different dish and had a different waiter I may have been able to give a higher rating and better review. It was also unfortunate that the food was so stodgy as we were very keen to try out one of their delicious looking cakes but were too bloated to give them a try!
