We were staying a Saturday night so the hotel was sold out. We checked in about 4pm and asked if our room had a view. When we were told "no" we asked for a room with a view. The clerk was very helpful and did get us a room with a partial view of the river. The room was very well done and clean. The king bed was very comfortable. Of course you pay for the location but a tray of snacks seemed a little much... $4.50 for a Snickers bar, $6.00 for a bottle of water, etc. A small cup of coffee was about 5 bucks from room service. And the ice machine on our floor didn't work. Overall it was a good stay but if want to stay downtown Chicago be ready to pay the price.
