Me and my husband stayed there for 2 days. The bed was very comfy, the room was superclean, You can adjust the A/C. They offer coffee and hot chocolate in the mornings and the hotel lobby is beautiful.

We had problems with this hotel and indeed this is the second time. Reception staff appear to be poorly trained and refuse to accept when they make mistakes. Reception includes the bar and a lounge area where the carpets are badly stained. Rooms are small and cramped with basic fittings. There is no room service so you have to go to the attached restaurant or coffee shop.

I was disconcerted seeing a case left in reception in the middle of a walkway for hours. When someone reported this to the reception they appeared disinterested even though they did not know who it belonged to. After the lady who raised this was out of site they put it back in the same place they found it. That alone would be enough for me to not use this hotel but it was generally pretty average.

London_Flyer,

we appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your feedback with us.
We do have several new staff members that are still in training and I am very sorry that that affected your experience. Certainly no excuse as they are always paired up with someone that has been here for a while and knows the ins and outs.
I will be sure to share your feedback with the team as a learning opportunity and to ensure that we do much better next time.
The light carpets in the lobby show stains so easily, we know. A cleaning has already been schedule and should take care of those stains you noticed.
We do hope that you will give us another chance after all to show you that we can do much better!
Have a great rest of the week!

Great hotel in the theater district of Chicago's loop. Comfortable rooms, great amenities, close to everything, and wonderful staff. Coffee and Iced Coffee in the morning and Proseco Happy Hour in the evenings. I'd highly recommend them.

Kimpton has done an amazing job renovating this grand old hotel. The common spaces are huge and gorgeous. The features are almost all updated (bathtubs seem original) and they did an almost great job noise proofing (not nearly as good as the newer hotels in Chicago.) the decor is beautiful and modern. The rooms are very pretty, just SO small. I stayed here bc the city was super expensive. I would do it again under the same circumstances.

Hello Elizabeth! Thanks for providing feedback on your recent stay with us. I'm glad you to see you enjoyed your stay overall! Due to it's historic nature, the hotel does have rooms that are a bit on the cozy side. Should you stay with us in the future, we recommend booking our King Premier room or requesting an accessible room upon check in for some extra space! We hope to welcome you back soon!

I had a prepaid room and came to the hotel one day later due to personal reason. Explained it to the front office manager Kerby, he mention he will charge me again as I did not call him. I wanted to escalate this as the room was paid alredy but he agreed it was fine. In the end I was charged twice which is a qualified theft
So far reclamations on the phone are not possible I was constantly transfered and kept on hold.
I tried on the mail and expecting replay
