We were initially pleased, but that turned a bit sour by check out the next day (today). Price is great compared to other hotels in area. However, hair in the shower (lots), and an un-stocked and maintained breakfast area really put a damper on our overnight travel stay.

Our shower had almost the entire back wall covered in a previous guest(s) hair. It was very disgusting, and there is no way you could have cleaned that shower and not have noticed. It was about a 1 foot X 2 foot stretch of hair. I will share the picture of the shower with the check out staff/manager shortly. I will also try to post the picture after our vacation.

Once we cleaned that, and got our family around to go down for breakfast at 9 a.m. we were greeted by a continental breakfast out of stock on many items. No yogurt, low cereal, breads and toast. Out of coffee, etc... Two lady workers were talking at the check in desk next to the breakfast area, so I told them about what was out and asked them to restock. They said they would get someone. They were polite, but then simply went back to talking. The table we had to sit at was also fairly covered in a kids spilled syrup.

About a half hour later (a half hour all the while two workers are just standing there at check in talking...and with breakfast ending at 10 a.m.), another lady came up and started restocking and making coffee. At that point my family was done eating, and we simply left. I guess I will get breakfast and coffee elsewhere.

The price and location are very good. There are plenty of restaurants nearby by, as well as numerous other hotels. There is also a small water park, mini-golf and go-cart track literally 1 block away. Unlike some hotels, the high speed internet was truly high speed, and signal strength is very good. On top of that, and the reason for our stay here, Cahokia Mounds is about 5 minutes from here, and the St. Louis Arch only about 15 minutes from here. However, I am not sure we would stay here again after the shower incident and the breakfast stocking problem.

We are about to check out right now, and were going to reserve a room for when we travel back through on our way home (we are doing Cahokia Mounds on our way out to our vacation destination, and stopping back in the area on our way home from vacation in a week to visit the St. Louis Arch). Originally we were going to stay here both times, but we decided to hold off and think about it. I guess we have a week to decide.

Room Tip: Pick a room on the third floor away from elevator and you should have a good nights rest. Avoid the...

We didn't arrive until 1am as our train was 2 hours late. We had to leave at 630am so not a long stay did grab breakfast and it was good with good choices. Maids need to be a little more thorough in their cleaning as a child panties were found behind the dresser when we were looking for a phone charger outlet but overall the room was fine. There was a small screw sticking out of the wall between the door and the wall and my daughter got her finger smashed and the screw went through her finger. That should probably be looked into.

The hotel was fine except for the noisy air conditioner and the seal on the refrigerator, the desk lamp had no outlet either.
