“Worth a visit when you fancy a treat.”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

There is so much to say about the farm shop and i will start in the car park! Plenty of parking, with easy access to the shop.

Walking into the shop you As you enter the shop you walk past a lovely display of local fruit and veg (season dependant- out of season bits are from elsewhere). The baskets are traditional baskets which are rather attractive. Inside there is a huge variety of produce. They have a meat counter, frozen meat (all local) a fish counter, a Deli, loads of store cupboard produce, gifts, treats, puddings, everything. You can sample bits as you go, they often have pies and cheese chopped up on taster plates.

I love the deli- lots of great cheeses, meats and pies. I love the game pies with fruit on top. The bakery is also great. The bread is outstanding. My kids also love their decorated biscuits. In the chiller cabinet they also sell 'home' made cheese cakes- really really nice.

Prices are high, but its worth spending the money as it is excellent quality. We tend to get some bits as a treat when we are on holiday.

You do not have to queue long to pay. Their staff are efficient and friendly- i also love their traditional uniform. I once slipped and half dropped my cheese cake damaging it in the process- they went and got a new one for me which i thought was lovely.

Take your own bags as otherwise you have to pay for bags. Their cool bags are very very good though.

Shopping at Chatsworth is a lovely experience :-)

“Huge range of food”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Great farm shop, on the expensive side but a huge choice. The car park gets very busy. I recommend the cakes, a handmade Victoria sponge for £4.99. A great place to shop any time of year but excellent at Christmas.

“Not cheap but excellent quality and plenty of variety”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

The shop is spacious and easily access alb for those with mobility issues
The butchery desk is well stocked and has knowledgable staff who are happy to advise re cooking times etc
Most produce is grown or bred on the estate so you can be assured of its quality
You will pay a premium if you buy produce from this farm shop but it's excellent quality
Parking can be problematic at busy periods as the shop is next to the ever popular cafe come restaurant

A light lunch turned into a full meal. The food is excellent and the portions huge. No room for the delicious looking cakes

Reviewed 12 August 2014

Came for breakfast, rather surprised to see only one egg in what i always thought was eggS benedict...! Not sure how this is the best farm shop in UK. Felt a bit like a Little Waitrose. Food in the restaurant average.
