We stay at this hotel a few times a year. We like the location and the hotel staff does a great job. The only problems we had this time was with parking. We had a hard time finding a handicapped spot and on some days, we had to park in another lot due to the main one being full. Also, the hot tub was not working. The waffle iron was broken. I do wish that all Hilton Honors Members would receive free in room internet. We had to sit in the atrium to use the net. Other than that, we had a wonderful week at this hotel (again)

Overall a nice hotel. Cleanliness of the suite could be improved, especially in the bathroom and with the refrigerator. Not sure why the refrigerator would not get cleaned...but it didn't. I had to wash out hair (why in the fridge I am not sure) and spilled..something. A bit gross. Otherwise the suite was alright. Beds were fairly comfortable. Had some issues with the TV's but maintenance was quick to come and fix the issues. Staff was excellent. Had a new female employee at check-in and she was extremely friendly and helpful. Gave me a couple of points about Peoria. Since this was our first visit to the area, I appreciated this. The breakfast staff was wonderful! Especially the gentleman preparing the omelets. I could tell he really enjoyed his job and was working hard to satisfy his customers. Overall breakfast was good. Utilized the pool and fitness room. Enjoyed the pool, but it would have been better if it was heated...even just a little bit! Very cold. Fitness room was nice as well.

Had to go to Peoria for a weekend wedding experience and chose this hotel on the Illinois River. Good Choice. The service was superb. The morning cooked to order breakfast was a treat over other hotels cold offerings. I have nothing negative to say....it was really pleasant.

After a meandering drive, along the Mississippi first and then along with Illinois Rivers with a lunch stop for fish as only they have in Meridosa, this hotel was perfect. It has all the beautiful architecture that is expected in a Hammons hotel with a great staff and fine rooms. For just a little more we had a river view to watch the tour boats, pleasure craft and barges move up and down the river. Next door was, of all things, burger restaurant with probably the best views ever from a burger place. A great experience.

Room Tip: As stated in the report...worth the money to get a river-view room.

This is our 2nd visit for 4th of July celebration. 1st one was about 4 years ago, which had a air show then. Airshow was NOT part of this year (I think due to state budget), but didn't matter at all. Nice band, free BBQ/Food/Drink. No traffic to worry about for firework, we just watched in our room. Friendly staff, fast service, everything was all good.

Room Tip: for 4th of july, river view is way to go, but higher cost.

Nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and large. Breakfast was good when made by the cook. Buffet was good except for the eggs. Exercise facility was small and very busy between 5 am to 7am.

I stayed here for one night recently on a family trip down state. It was a quick trip, so I can't say TOO much about the inner workings of the hotel, but from what I gathered it was a great stay.

The lobby was spacious and welcoming. I thought the open hallways was a nice touch... didn't feel as closed in and dark as a lot of hotel hallways do. They have a free shuttle within a 5 mile radius - this will take you to the Riverfront area with shops and restaurants as well as a few other places. Clean and friendly van and driver!

Our room partially faced the river and some of the riverfront. The room was well appointed... spacious and clean. The bed was VERY comfy! The bathroom amenities were really high end (forgot the brand, but I knew the name), which is always nice. I appreciated the clean bathroom.

The hotel has a manager's reception and it was the night we were there (a Saturday, which is rare). From 5:30-7:30pm, there were free snacks and alcoholic beverages. The beer/liquor drink selection was pretty good for a hotel reception (and for free). The bartender was friendly and the drinks were good! Perfect way to start an evening. The dining area was spacious and was busy.

After dinner, we walked back and had a drink at the lobby bar - also busy! The pool area looked nice but we didn't have time to enjoy it. If i'm ever in Peoria again (probably not likely any time soon), I would consider staying here. The rate was better than the Holiday Inn down the road and although not as new, it felt just as nice. Ample parking as well.

Room Tip: Riverfront, of course.
