While I do like a good meal of Chinese cuisine, it would be hard for me to recommend the China Buffet to someone who wasn't a local or hadn't been there before. When the place opened it was a great eatery, but as the years have passed it has declined. The dining room is starting to look dated, the whole place seems a bit dirty, and the quality of the food, while still passable, has slipped.
As others have mentioned, you have to pay at the door. Dinner on the weekends is a bit more than the weeknights because of the upgraded menu, which typically includes some kind of seafood (usually crab legs). They have a cold bar featuring the typical salad and dessert items and the main buffet line is the typical array of hot dishes and the to-be-expected soups. There's nothing here that you haven't seen at any number of other Chinese buffets. Unfortunately, this is the only Chinese buffet in town, so it's not like there is a lot of competition to drive them to improve.
Only recommended if you can stand the mediocre fare and can tolerate the shabby decor.
