Fabulous! Warm, friendly welcome, interesting objet d'art/historical everywhere you turn.
Great service. Nothing too much trouble.

Room was dramatic with views. Sounds of the menagerie outside added to the charm.
Loved it! Look forward to returning.

Maunsel has a wonderful atmosphere: it is elegant, warm, inviting with the most generous host. You always have a good time when you spend an evening there. The food is always SUPERB and the music is excellent. It really lends itself to partying in every sense.

We were fortunate enough to hold outer wedding over 3 days at Maunsel house last September. I cannot recommend it enough. We wanted for absolutely nothing during our stay, and every aspect of our wedding was executed with such ease and precision, that you wouldn't even know there was a team of courteous, polite and helpful staff beavering away behind the scenes. Liddy, our wedding planner, was an angel. Her organisation skills and polite manner lead me to believe that she IS THE BEST wedding planner in the region. Also of mention was Jack, who dealt with our wedding party with courtesy and skills far beyond his years. To anybody considering this special place for their wedding. Stop. Book it. Done. Incredible.

Maunsel House is the most unique place you could possibly stay at. Sir Benjamin is a wonderful host and the staff so attentive. Any event that I have been to has always been the most enjoyable time. Dinner in the main house or an informal lunch in the pagoda have always been so much fun. You cannot fail to enjoy yourself at Sir Ben's delightful home.

I have been lucky enough to stay either within the house or in the various cottages dotted around the estate and each time I find another aspect to rave about. Maunsel House cannot be compared to any other establishment, like its owner Sir Benjamin Slade, this residence is unique in many ways.

The black tie party was very well organised with a champagne reception and dinner set against grand surroundings and family heirlooms. It felt like home from home and the hosts and guests relaxed knowing that every aspect of the weekend had been thought about and managed.

For those who arrived early (guests within the house) we had the benefit of spending a lazy Saturday afternoon in the local pub found within the house itself. It is exactly like the best country pub, but with additional benefits. It is open until the last guest is standing, smoking is permitted and the journey to be it less than 1 minute away.

Despite the fact that the weather was not good, Sunday lunch for 80+ was well managed outside under the pergola. The wind blinds and heaters were in operation and I felt that I was on holiday in an Italian villa. The table was elegant, the food delicious and the service impeccable.

I did manage to creep away for long enough to walk around the grounds to visit the animals, including peacocks, rabbits etc, however, I did not spot the much publicised big cat.

I go back time and time again as the rooms in the house are sumptuous and grand, however I have also greatly enjoyed staying in the various cottages with my friends and relaxing with them during the quieter times.

Nothing does compare to a weekend at Maunsel. The staff are friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and fun!

I cannot recommend this country house enough for either large events or relaxing and fun weekend house parties.

Yet another fabulous party weekend thanks to a wonderful host and brilliant staff. Maunsel really is a special place, not least at 5am accompanied by a bottle of Dalwhinnie and one or two very special friends! Many thanks for a memorable and highly enjoyable occasion.

Another great trip to Maunsel, something keeps pulling us back there. The generosity of the host and the exciting new developments all encourage a fresh view of a wonderful stay. There cannot be many stately venues where you can park a helicopter within 50 yards of the entrance door and compete with the attention given to other super marque vehicles. The food is genuinely good and the specially brewed Maunsel House beer is a real treat after a good walk across the estate grounds. It is hardly a surprise that more luxurious accommodation is currently being completed with the help of London interior designers Colefax and Fowler.
