Description: The philosophy of the menu at Bistro Bordeaux is an expression of our French culinary heritage, for which we have a profound admiration. The support of our local farmers allows us to use the freshest produce and seafood, just as one would find in the markets in the south of France. The menu showcases the freshness of these pure ingredients through simple, flavorful combinations

“A lucky surprise--and the butter!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2011

My friend and I were actually walking past BB on our way to another restaurant when I just had this *feeling* we should bail on our former plans and go inside. We did, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being invasive. We had martinis and salads to begin--the beet and goat cheese salad is not to be missed. I regret not having tried the cold cucumber soup our server recommended--especially after I heard the diner seated next to me at the closely packed table exclaiming (in French, mind you) over its deliciousness. I had the steak and frites (classic, yummy--was that duck fat?) and my friend had a veggie gnocchi, but the best decision we've ever made was to share a dessert: the creme brulee, flavored with lavender and honey. Go there and tap your spoon through the crunchy brown carmelized crust. Right down into the creamy goodness. You will not be sorry.

“Cozy spot for French Bistro Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2011

We stumbled onto this cozy spot during a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed everything about Bistrot Bordeaux. Classic french menu, escargot, coq au vin, french onion soup, duck, steak/frites, etc. Nothing but straight forward classic old world french food here. We had the coq au vin, salad, and soup de jour--a turnip/parsnip veloute. All very well done, good portions and the wine list is very affordable. We had a Cotes du Rhone-Chemin des Papes 2008 for $28-. Service is professional and unobtrusive. If your looking for a classic french meal in a warm atmosphere, Bistrot Bordeaux is worth the visit.
