We recently had a weekend break staying at Corton again. Corton and Gunton are our favourite Warner places. The cleanliness everywhere was excellent. The room great (Beach Garden) and very clean. It's just over 12 months since we stayed with you and noted the following:
NO Tablecloths. NO Complimentary tissues. Food was cooked to the same excellent standard, but we felt the starters and Desserts were not as good. And I couldn't believe it when waiter asked for payment for after dinner coffee.
Entertainment excellent as was the staff.
We enquired about the New Year break and was quoted over £100 more than the prices on show on 6ft high display boards. The member of staff had to speak with the manager and when she came back stated that if we booked before the end of the day the manager would let us have it the discount price as a favour!!. This was in spite of extensive advertising on your part. Overall once again I enjoyed our break, but did come away feeling disappointed that Warners high standards are starting to slip. It's the small things that make the difference.

Room Tip: Rooms looked onto Beach garden.

The weather was dreadful, even in the worst winter on record we had a great time.Stayed in a standard chalet which was spotless and comfortable. The thing that makes Corton such a great place to stay is the staff cannot fault them, the entertainment was superb, the service fantastic.I own a holiday home run by Park Resorts and would love to think the standards set by Warner could be matched. If your thinking of taking a break don't hesitate book here now.The food is great with so much choice. The manager of this village must be so proud of how well the staff treat the customers.Thank you so much.

For a short break Corton is ok, but our room was small, the room was clean and the bed huge, we were on the Orwell row.

This was the first time we had stayed at a Warners Hotel and it was not as we expected.

You have to arrive early to get a good table for meals and entertainment, shame we didn't know that before hand. We were shown to a table and this was ours all our stay, unfortunately we had a table with an obstruction, so we all had to squash together on one side of the table to see the entertainment! The only other table available was at the very back of the room and not being tall we would have seen nothing.

The food was adequate, but not of the high standard we had expected and I didn't expect to queue for my breakfast and evening main meal, there was a limited menu choice served at the table and if there was something on that I liked I opted for service, which was good and timed to be served close to when the others got back from the self-service, which was nice.

We had a power cut just in our room! Lucky us, first thing in the morning when we got up, so had to get dressed and go to reception to report this, we were told maintenance would be over 9am, so we waited for the breakfast room to open as the heating was also electric in the room. It was a shame no one offered us a cup of tea or a complementary bottle of wine with dinner for our inconvenience. Small gestures go a long way.

It was lovely weather for December and the sun rise was amazing, the outside seating was very nice, not that it was warm enough to sit out, but it looked lovely.

The pool looked good too.

Well situated for visiting the area.

Room Tip: Arrive early and get a good table Don't miss the sun rise Lovely Location, sea view a good opt...

Thanks for your feedback.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and enjoy lots of positive feedback from our guests.

There are 13 Warner locations situated around the country, all with their own charm and character and I do hope that you will return to one of these in the near future.

Kind Regards,

A lovely location, right on the cliff with sea views. Staff and accommodation very nice. One huge draw back which was voiced by many. ...the access(steps ) to the direct beach from the venue had been closed, due to being unsafe, so a mile + car drive to the beach. Overall it is a lovely relaxing break.

Thanks for your review.

It is so pleasing that guests are enjoying the ambience at Corton.

Unfortunately due to cliff erosion the steps to the beach have been closed for safety reasons , hopefully in March they will reopen and guests will once again be able to enjoy the beach walks.

I make no secret this is my favourite Warners as it is so friendly and the food is out of this world. I took a group of 100+ and we have re-booked for next year already. There have been a lot of improvements since last year. The main dining/entertainment hall has been decorated and has new furniture. I like that the dining room becomes the ballroom therefore your seat is always there. On saying that get there by one to book your table as some of them are obstructed by posts but there are other seating areas for after dinner.
There is now an undercover sports area for Archery Shooting etc which pleased the men in our group. There is a lovely lounge to relax in that overlooks sea however it is no use if you cannot manage stairs. I really feel a chair lift should be installed.
As a disabled person myself I do notice these things. Please next year no Brett Kite(magician comedian) he is ok the first time you see him but we are up to about the 10th. Out of 100 people I only had a couple of complaints regarding rooms and seating but the helpful team soon sorted them and everybody was happy. Keep up good work team Corton and thankyou Chris in office and dining manager for helping me plan our stay. This was a drinks inclusive break and I thought it would be all cheap makes but I am pleased to say I was wrong Corvoissier Brandy etc.

Room Tip: A lot of the rooms are 1st floor be sure to mention if you cant manage stairs. If you can afford to...

If you like sophisticated entertainment and luxury accommodation then Corton is not for you. Turkey and Tinsel is a knees up the old fashioned way with plenty of entertainment, food and drink with a very helpful and smiling local staff. The entertainments team give it full go and they really make the day time and especially the evening entertainment good fun.

Obviously the weather means you nip in and out to the main building block fairly swiftly but what do you expect in December on the East coast. All you need is in one building and the program of activities is full and varied. The crazy golf course is a real challenge and requires some inventive play.

Why 3 stars, well the accommodation is a bit under whelming and the bed and mattress in our chalet was well past its replacement time with a pillow to match. Without a few Xmas drinks, sleeping even for a few hours would have been tricky. The room was snug and the bathroom adequate for a short stay. Clean and tidy, the staff did their best.

We had a couple of nights stay and 3 days of fun - great start to the festivities.

Room Tip: The premium chalets on the cliff top look worth the extra and have a lounge and terrace.
