Lovely peaceful little home with the bonus of a private garden overlooking the sea. Will definitely visit again.
This was a lovely location and the chalet was quiet with a lovely secluded garden, perfect to return to after being out and about during the day. Chalet was clean, well equipped and comfortable. You can walk to Lowestoft ( 6 mile round trip ). Access to the beach from the site (but not open during our visit although council sign said open March 17). However, 10 minute walk to access the beach through Corton village but a pleasant walk past nature reserve and wooded area. two pubs in the village, welcoming and friendly. Local Chinese takeaway very good. Also Dunwich Heath and Beach and Southwold worth a visit. The only negative - the tiny black flies which spoilt trying to eat outside ( would recommend using citronella candles).
Beautiful chalet, and so close to the sea! I'd say 5 metres when we went! Swimming pool was brilliant on site, and the chalet was lovely and comfortable. The only thing I would say is it got chilly in the evenings so would recommend taking hot water bottles/your fluffy socks if you go in winter.
Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves, great to be somewhere new and get some fresh sea air.
Words can not describe such a great property and the views are out of this world. Dogs fully enjoyed going in the sea and long walks.
Plenty big enough for the three of us and the private garden with lovely sea views was a bonus! The chalet was clean and welcoming and had everything we needed. Small holiday park with a bar/restaurant, heated indoor pool and shop on site. Great pub over the road that served lovely and reasonably priced food. Walking distance to the Pleasurewood Hills theme park which we visited and had lots of fun at. There were quite a few steps down to the gorgeous beach and then we took a lovely coastal walk into Lowestoft as the weather was very kind to us. Our evenings were spent playing pool at the onsite pub or over the road at The White Horse pub where the two course meal at £6.95 each was delicious! Then it was back to the chalet to toast marshmallows over the fire pit listening to the sound of the waves. Easy driving distance to all that Great Yarmouth has to offer, although we preferred Lowestoft to the south and Gorleston to the north of Corton.
Peter was so helpful prior to our stay, answering all my questions and was a pleasure to deal with.
