We ate here after they first opened several months back and it was really quite bad compared to other Cheddars we have eaten at. Due to this we decided to wait until the servers and staff got a little seasoning before we returned. We ate here for lunch a few weeks ago and although the waitress was a bit slow (perhaps because it was busy), the food was very good and the service was much better than last time. It appears that this place is starting to return to the normal Cheddars experience we have become accustomed to in other towns. It is still very busy most days but they really do have good food and at a great price! Hoping it continues to get better with age!!!

The portions are large and the food is good. I love the decor as well. The servers are pretty good with a few exceptions, just like any where else. I enjoy the buffalo chicken wrap, its perfect... but a bit large if you get the whole wrap. The spinach dip was excellent as well. They have a range of food from wraps to chicken fried steak...

Good grades for the food and prices, disappointing to have to wait 25 minutes at 2 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon only to walk by numerous empty tables. Got the impression that they make folks wait just to make it seem more popular.

Our waitperson was very helpful and efficient, water filled without asking, etc. The entrée prices were very reasonable, ranging from $8.49 for a delicious Shepard’s pie, to $9.49 for a Garlic Parmesan Steak that had a good size wedge salad with a perfectly cooked sirloin atop caramelized onions, to $10.49 for a dinner size salmon dish. Everyone liked the dishes we ordered and would order again. Arrival of appetizer was excellent. Arrival of entrees was very slow, the power flashed at one point due to a thunderstorm which is why they said it took so long, but that sounded a little fishy as we watched tables all around us getting their main courses.

On principle, we don’t go to restaurants where you have to wait and that don’t take reservations. So, while we really enjoyed the meal, we won't be going to a Cheddars again.

Atmosphere, food and service were the best around, but be prepared to wait. There's a crowd every night. 30 - 45 minute wait. Beats the heck out of the chain restaurants on N. Illinois St, all of which are the worst version of them I have encountered anywhere. Hence the wait at Cheddars..

We have been to other Cheddar's and this one was a little disappointing. It has only been open a few months and was packed at 1:30 p.m. We had just a twenty minute wait, but when we got our food in was room temperature for the most part and almost cold in some spots. We did not send it back, because it was so crowded. The prices are really reasonable and the service was very good. We will most likely go back when the newness wears off and it is not so crowded. We always believe in second chances.
