There are 5 of us in our 'girls weekend outing' group and we booked the new 3 bedroom cottage at Le Fevre Inn, we were the first to stay there and it was PERFECT!! All 3 bedrooms were good sizes with flat screen TV and the 2 bathrooms were HUGE! The full kitchen was stocked with everything you needed including wine glasses to drink all the wine we bought in and definitely the vineyards! We had beautiful patio furniture, new grill and our own hot tub outside!!! We even used the gas fire place one night in the living room. We had a fantastic time and definitely recommend this inn!!!

Room Tip: There is also a pool but we did not use it because it was too cool.

This was our first time at LeFevre and I have to agree with 'sitobe_99' - it really was as comfortable as home. Small inn right outside of town, quiet, beautiful property, clean/updated rooms with real wood-burning fireplaces, comfortable bed - this place has it all. There is a fire pit overlooking the lake and gazebo on one side and a heated pool on the other (closed now for the season, of course). They offer a 'continental' breakfast in the office with bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee/OJ, etc., but please - go downtown to one of the cafes for breakfast. The Golden Hen on Main has huge omelets, buttery hashbrowns, and fresh squeezed orange juice. =)

We were a group of six (3 couples) in town for a long weekend and we all loved it! Spent our days roaming around Galena and evenings around the bonfire listening to the coyotes. Will definitely return!

We have been coming here annually for over 15 years with several changes to management and changes to the Inn. Through all the years the experience has been excellent and this year was no exception. Daniele in the office could not be more friendly and helpful. Our room as always was spotless as was the newly painted Inn. The outdoor furniture has all been upgraded and the deck furniture outside the rooms is new. The relaxing atmosphere at the Inn is evident from the moment we arrive there. The views are spectacular, especially in the evening from the deck watching the sunsets. Very family friendly. Short and easy trip into downtown Galena. This Inn is a hidden gem in Galena.

Room Tip: I like the upper rooms for the view.

A few things off the bat that we appreciated: dog friendly, really clean, nice grounds, updated rooms, pool, and proximity to "downtown" Galena. Also, they allowed a two night stay over the holiday instead of the 3 or more required at some other places. The room was well-appointed and had a very large bathroom, both really clean. A small sitting area with a couch, fireplace, new tv with satellite and dvd. Outside the door was a small table and chairs as well. The inn advertizes the sunset views and they are not overstating, the views were beautiful with sunsets, rolling hills, farms. We even had great views of fireworks from more than one town on the 4th. The breakfast was a little lackluster but this is not a b&b so perhaps it is to be expected.

Room Tip: If available perhaps choose one of the two cottages for additional privacy.

We are planning on traveling to Galena in August 2013 and came accross this property on the internet which looked fabulous. We emailed the inn to check availability and got no reply, so we emailed again getting a reply 2 days later stating that YES there was availability for the dates we required. With this Inn you have to phone for booking confirmation as no online booking is available. So we immediately went to the expense of making an international call (UK - USA) only to be told after giving all our details (8 minutes of conversation) that she (Danielle) was unsure if there was any availibility and she would return our call asap. We were confused about this as Dannielle was the person dealing with our enquiry via email.. We heard nothing for 4 days and we decided to email again. Dannielle replied stating that there had been a family bereavement and she would get back to us in 2 days. 5 days later still no reply so we emailed yet again and we were told that there is a block booking for the dates we wanted.

The Inn itself looks lovely however the customer service leaves alot to be desired, we have just wasted 2 weeks on waiting to book our stay in Galena and will now have to look elsewhere for accommodation.

Stayed for two nights in early June, everything was clean and well-kept. We enjoyed our stay and would readily return. I especially liked the 'in the country' atmosphere - very quiet at night, no city lights. And just minutes from Galena. I definitely recommend this B&B.

We stayed here on Cinco de Mayo for a quick one-night getaway and it was AMAZING. Everything felt thoughtful and sweet. They have an old fireplace with everything you need for a fire, an outdoor table and chairs for relaxing and listening to the bullfrogs, and even wine glasses for you to use.,. We took a walk down to the gazebo on a beautiful pond; there's even a pool, a grill, and an outdoor fire pit. The manager and her family live onsite and were so sweet; I especially loved their old puppy who strolls around!I would recommend this for everyone!!! I just wish we spent more time there.

Room Tip: Queen room was perfect for us, it was cheaper and still had a whirlpool tub. Bring a hair dryer and...
