An apartment facing towards the quiet back yard was a very good family room for my little travel party - myself and three children. Useful kitchenette, bathtub for the kids when scrubbing off the well-earned dirt after a day of playing, a balcony for me to sit and read after the children had fallen asleep. The staff is friendly, the children enjoyed the small pool in a fenced-off garden immensely, and having breakfast outdoors looking at the beach and the tram was a lovely way to start the day.
A tip if you travel with a baby (like we did) is to bring a baby carrier and a "sack seat" or something like that. Not all the rooms are accessible by the elevator, and there were often more babies than high chairs at breakfast.
