As soon as you walk into Suzy Swirl, you are happily greeted by the crew. The place is small, but decorated in a fun way, right down to the lighting and flooring. There are always six yogurt flavors to enjoy, four base flavors and then a combination of two, such as sea salt caramel and chocolate to make chocolate covered pretzel. There are also two base gelato and two base non-dairy sorbetto flavors, and again a combination of the two per category to make a wonderful mixed flavor. Each treat has information on it such as NSA (no sugar added), LF (low-fat) and NF (non-fat), etc. You can sample any and all flavors, and once you decide, you can help yourself to a treat in a fresh waffle cone or a cup. Some of the cups have cake or brownie on the bottom! Your choice. They also sometimes have a hot treat for your yogurt, such as apple cobbler, to enjoy. The toppings seem endless, and include fresh fruits, candy, nuts, sprinkles and even cereal (my favorite). They also have mochi, a sweet, chewy Japanese treat (my other favorite). They have hot fudge, a delicious cabernet sauce (I know, it sounds weird, but it's GOOD!), and many others. You pay by the weight of your pickings and it is currently 47 cents per ounce.
There are many frozen yogurt places popping up all over Lake County, but I have to say the quality of Suzy's, including the product, staff and ambiance of the store, beats everyone else, hands down. Check it out for yourself and see what I mean. I know you will agree!
