We arrived when the tide was on its way out so after a good walk we were were able to get on the beach and get a bit closer to the statues. Shame about the tat attached to them - dog collars, t-shirts, bracelets. Why three stars? They are what they are - a parking charge attraction for the local council.

One of the best and far reaching must see attractions on the Mersey estuary.Mind boggling especially at high tide.

Visited here November and was stunning
The beach itself is very peaceful and clean, there is a cafe a short walk away and a nearby park
There are several places to park with a fee which is reasonable
Worth a visit however could imagine is better in summer

The beach and sand dunes along the coast at Crosby is stunning and worth a visit in any season. However, depending on where the tide is will affect your viewing of the metal men on the beach. Some are very far out and would become submerged quite quickly. People have added personalities to the men with flowers or a Liverpool flag!

We always combine breakfast with a visit to see the men on the beach. The tide is not always out which makes counting them difficult.
