What can reasonably be said about iron figures stuck in the sand? At least one of them fell over and added a touch of drama, albeit static, to the display.

Best visited on a receding tide so you view them in the water and then on the beach.

Car park is now pay and display though.

What an amazing art installation-still looks great several years on and the beach is so huge there’s more than enough space for everyone! Loved it!

Really lovely beach, the iron men make it even more interesting and make for a good snapshot prop. Parking was only £1 for two hours too, and you can pay by debit card, bargain.

We visited here after a weekend in Liverpool. The whole area is lovely and clean and the it is a lovely walk round the lake before you get to the beach. There is a child play area, lots of picnic benches and you can use the toilets in the visitor centre where you can also get a drink. Once you get to the beach you see the statues straight away. As there are so many and spread out you can take great photos without people in the background.
