Description: La Casa de Isaac and Moishe’s Restaurant is the second Mexican restaurant established in Highland Park by the Nava family from Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico. As family owned and operated establishments, the Nava family has brought some unique Mexican dishes to Chicago’s North Shore. Isaac’s Mother’s Favorite Enchiladas – a recipe developed by their mother, Florencia – continues to be a customer favorite. New specialty items are added continually with an emphasis on local favorites from their home region. The Nava family maintains a strong commitment and loyalty to the community by offering unique Mexican dishes with excellent service. They appreciate the support and patronage of their customers.

La Casa De Isaac & Moishe is a great place to go with friends for a tasty Mexican meal. Service is efficient, restaurant is immaculate and decorated with flair, and the food is reasonably priced. The menu offers a variety of dishes to satisfy a variety of tastes. My husband and I love to eat at this Highland Park restaurant.

Not your bland homogenized Mexican food. This is fantastic.considering that the north shore is not where you think you would find a gem of a Mexican Restaurant. It's also unusual because you don't normally associate the Jewish faith with Mexico or Mexican Food. Just goes to show you that it has nothing to do with it great food other than preconceived prejudices. It's a short drive from Lake Forest College so, it's fun to take my son there instead of the chain restaurants that line Vernon Hills. At Lake Forest College to visit a student. take them here for lunch or dinner. While they don't have a separate lunch menu its reasonably priced for either one for this area. Wait staff sometimes have a slight language barrier issue but where more than helpful describing the menu and specials. Give this a try.

Neighborhood gem. Very good Mexican food in a pleasant surroundings. Staff is friendly and the service is very good. Great for a nice lunch as well as a good (non-Mexican) breakfast with a wide choice of options on the menu. Dinner offers many good choices. Good for the whole family.

Who knew you could find such great Mexican food in Highland Park in a joint run by Jews? Large quantities of great food at reasonable prices. I particularly recommend the duck (!) tacos and the mahi mahi tacos. As usual, the chips and salsa will fill you up before dinner arrives, if you are not careful.
My most recent visit was marred by sloooow and forgetful waitstaff - and it wasn't even busy!
