“Great place to get away from it all”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014

This park is relatively small at about 80 acres but when combined with the ajoining Rushmere Park it covers an area of 400 acres. The parking at the Stockgrove entrance is more resticted than the larger parking facilities at the Rushmere entrance. There are toilets and a cafe available.
This whole area is a joy to wander around with a very diverse terrain. It's easy to find solitude even if it's busy in the car parks.
A stroll around the lake is very relaxing for the less adventurous or explore both Parks over well marked paths.
NB. Check out the Rushmere Country Park reviews.

“The best park/woodland reserve by a countrymile”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014 via mobile

Stockgrove Country Park and neighbouring (and connected Rushmere Park) is brilliant. A very large and well maintained woodland, with bags of room to explore.

The terrain is varied. Flat and easy for those who fancy a leisurely stroll, on the flat path around the lake. Or more sloped for the more energetic.

There are two cafés. One at the Stockgrove entrance and are large more modern one at Rushmere.

A walk from Stockgrove to Rushmere and back will probably take upto 90mins, and is very popular at weekends.

Admission is free, but there is a £2 parking charge.

Tip. The car park at Stockgrove can be full, especially at weekends. If so drive around to the Rushmere entrance which is much bigger.

“Superb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013 via mobile

I have been a regular visitor of Stockgrove for well over 10 years now and I never grow bored with the place. It's great all year round and I especially love it during the winter months once it has snowed. The cafe at Stockgrove is wonderful and has a 5 star hygiene award. The food is fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced.

Stockgrove is a place for all ages to enjoy...

“Great place for walking the dog”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

We go here on average once a week and our retriever just loves it here, because she can be off the lead mont of the time and there are plenty of squirrels to chase and never catch! If your are local it is worth buying a season ticket for parking. The newly opened cafe is also worth a visit

“Always a favorite”

Great for walks with/without dogs & kids...plenty of trails plus hills & the lake plus now linked with Rushmere so even more space to explore with a new cafe & large car park.
