Attraction details
Owner description: A replica of the 1800s Postville Courthouse where Abraham Lincoln once practiced law while in the 8th Judicial Court Circuit. This beautiful two story attraction offers a nice guided tour of the building and the grounds which also offers a medicinal garden of that era as well.

“I Will Return For The Tour”

Unfortunately I was in the area on a Monday when the site was closed so I could just walk around. The building is a replica of a courthouse in which Abraham Lincoln practiced. The original is at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. Parking is convenient and the flowers outside the building were very pretty. I will stop in if the opportunity presents itself.

“Wonderful replica of the origianl Postville Courhouse”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Lincoln was a circuit riding lawyer in this part of Illinois. The original Postville Courthouse was purchased by Henry Ford and now resides in MI. This is very true to the original. Docents are helpful!
