You know what you're getting with a Marriott Courtyard and this hotel delivers very well in that 'business value' end of the hotel offering. The lounge area is clean and inviting and they now offer an evening meal service as well as breakfast and drinks. This is a great addition if you don't want to venture out again after a hard day's work. There is a small gym which has most equipment, but don't expect a large choice of machines. There is a running trail in the nearby Marriott Resort which might be a good option for the runners out there.
The rooms are what takes this from a 5 to a 4. They clean and comfortable, but just a little dated now. Some refurbishment to a more modern, contemporary offering would make them perfect. Coffee machine in the room is good as is the fridge if you're staying a few days or like your water extra cold. Air conditioning is offered, but again is a little old, so too noisy to leave on for long. Downtown Chicago is 30-40 minutes away without traffic.
Staff are friendly and extremely efficient. Check in took about 60 seconds and check out 30 seconds. Unbeatable!More
