“Stress free day out”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

It's all about trees! Morton Arboretum provides an excellent day or half--day out. Do allow plenty of time to really see it on foot although you can drive around, but if you do park up and take a walk. The visitor center provides information and a place to refresh when exploring both sides of the 1700 acre site, including a good choice of food and drink at reasonable prices.

“we are local and members”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

This is a beautiful arboretum. we live locally and are members and go several times a month. The daffodils, crabapples, magnolias and fall colors are breathtaking. they have a lovely children's garden and frequently have festivals to keep an eye out for. I think they may be fairly expensive per car - but again - we are membes so not sure. Take a drive on both sides, take a walk, look for wild flowers, blooms, birds. One of my favorite walks is in the prairie. I was not impressed last time I ate there - but that has been 3-4 years ago.

This is a beautiful, relaxing place. The grounds are gorgeous and the Children's Garden is not to be missed for little ones.

“Beautiful grounds, fun children's garden”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

Ride a bike on the miles of path or drive if you prefer. The children's area is fun and educational. The maze is entertaining for all ages and there's a playground in the midst. My grandkids love, love, loved the wading pond in the children's area. There happened to be tadpoles in the pool for them to watch in wonder and to scoop up for a closer view before gently lowering them back into the water. Open year round for so many different spectacular views!
