“Great food, and friendly service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

One of our "go to" restaurants, we eat there about once a week. Not sure what you want? they will create a special dish-just for you. Polo Zarapa is a favorite. The salsa is always fresh and the chips are hot.

“Favorite Mexican Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2013

Having lived in Albuquerque, Los Zarapes reminds us of the great authentic Mexican food we had there. This is not your fake-overly-spiced-up-Americanized Mexican food. This is the real deal and we love it. There have been times that we've eaten here 4 or 5 times a week when our schedule is too hectic to cook at home. I've tried nearly everything on the menu by now and enjoyed every meal.

The Polo Zarapa (chicken with white cheese sauce) is AWESOME. Portions are great. Carmen is friendly and the service is good.

“Better Before They Moved”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2013

In a town with just a few restaraunts, you'd think that they would do better.

Before they moved to the other end of the shopping strip we would stop in every so often.
Both times we've been since they moved we have been the only table busy in the restaurant.

With one table and one server - service was prompt.
Like others have commented, the food has much to be desired.
Bland and canned.

I'm hoping they can turn it around

“Good, could be better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2012

With a plethora of Mexican restaurants in the Champaign area, Los Zarapes just doesn't cut it when compared to other nearby restaurants. It's good enough to tolerate when I need a quick carry-out fix, but otherwise I end up driving into town for higher-quality Mexican fare.
