Spotlessly clean room; brilliant home cooking for dinner - order whatever he suggests; masses of books, maps and tourist information for reference; helpful owner who speaks quite good English; nice little town for wandering round. And the price 35 euros for the room, two dinners were 23 euros (11.50 each) and two breakfasts 9 euros (4.50 euro each) [and he was so apologetic that the bakery didn't open early enough for us to have fresh bread]. May not be the place for you if you expect to be offered a Diet Coke at breakfast or if you don't want to go down the corridor for the toilet, but we thought it was the best hotel of our trip.
