Having been a regular at The Killer before the refurb I was really looking forward to visiting again and what better occasion than to treat my mother to a birthday meal with my father, partner and two children. The starter I ordered of chicken goujons were lovely and home made with sweet chilli sauce and my partner had the ribs. Both were lovely and searing hot which made a change. The mains however were a letdown and made me wish I had chosen to take the family to the Afon Conwy up the road. Steak was ordered by me and my partner and though we had requested medium-well and the other medium they were both well done. My mother's gammon was tough and didn't look to be 10oz as stated on the specials board. My dad is a keen lover of pies and he wasn't impressed with that either. The chips were homemade but slightly undercooked. My daughter's meal was fine though she would have preferred chunky chips to the fries which come as standard with the children's meal. My youngest just picked from our plates. No pudding was taken as there wasn't much choice and we didn't like any options available. Will not be in a rush to visit again for a meal. Will only be visiting for a few drinks with friends as it has a nice atmosphere for this purpose compared to other establishments locally.
