My children love staying at Premier Inns!!! We stay as a treat if we are having a little visit somewhere and can pre book one of the cheaper rooms. We stayed here for one night in a family room which we had pre-booked for £29. We have stayed at various Premier Inns before, but have to say that we all agreed that this was by far the best family room we have had ( not that we are complaining about the others). Both the childrens beds were single type beds rather than one being made up on a mattress from underneath the main bed. The room was larger than other family rooms and we have never been where you have the swipe card key before ( only problem was that nobody told us we had to put that in the slot to get the lights to work and as it was dark when we arrived, we had an entertaining couple of minutes before we worked things out!).
The room was probably the most comfortable one we have stayed in, we had the windows open at night but the noise from the A55 didn't disturb us.
Checking in was swift, painless and very friendly - infact all the staff we came across during our brief stay, were friendly.
There is a Brewer's Fayre next door, which is handy - but not somewhere I would choose to go and eat - again the staff were helpful, but the place was very busy and for the prices, there wasn't much choice of food and the quality wasn't great. If we were to stay there again, we wouldn't eat our evening meal there.
Breakfast was fine - we enjoyed the fact that it was served between 7am - 11am and so we could have a bit of a lie in. There was plenty of choice and my vegetarian sausage was very tasty!.
Overall, if we were staying this way again, we would definitely stay here and would certainly recommend.
