I'm glad we chose to stay in this 170+year old Hotel because it was one of those things you should experience at least once. However the room was so small (room 8) there was barely room for us and no room for luggage. It may have worked well for one person traveling light.

We ate dinner at the buffet which was good with plenty of choices.

Enjoyed it but I'm glad it was only for one night.

This property is an old-style motel. However, it is very well maintained and close enough to all of the historical spots to walk. Clean rooms. Decorated nicely with quilts etc. Check in is down the street two blocks at Hotel Nauvoo. Would recommend highly.

The food was uniformly fresh, well-prepared and plentiful. The salad bar was especially impressive. We received prompt and consistent attention. The atmosphere is welcoming. Our group had a delightful time.

We were very satisfied in paying a few extra dollars to stay here, walking distance from the Nauvoo temple and everywhere else. Spotless clean rooms, a lot of space and comfort. The restaurant below and around are just great. We will definitely be coming back.

Room Tip: Enjoy the town, this place completes the great experience.

My family and I ate here for dinner one night and we all enjoyed it. We all decided to do the buffet - they had a good salad bar as well as a hot buffet and a carving station with ham, turkey and roast beef. The buffet included fried catfish, which my 7 year old loved, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, cinnamon rolls, fresh bread, scalloped potatoes, green beans, and several other dishes. We made reservations but I don't think that was necessary. But it never hurts, right? The restaurant is family friendly and has a nice casual, country atmosphere.

This charming hotel is a delight. There are only 8 rooms and we stayed in #8 and it was very nice but remember, it was built in 1840 when rooms were very small. As a man 6 foot 3 inches and 240 pounds, I was afraid to burp because so doing would probably blow out a window.

The restaurant is very nice and this hotel also owns the motel down the street and the breakfast eatery across the street.

Angie on the desk is outstanding. We had to park on the street because a storm had dropped electrical wires in their parking lot.

The window unit air conditoner sounded like a DC-3 and the wifi was two bars at best.

The sink is at the foot of the bed, outside the bathroom. There is no desk. The bathroom is the size of a phone booth.

Room Tip: This hotel is the best choice in Nauvoo... by far.

We got the four-bed suite, and were very pleased. Clean and good service. Great location within walking distance of many attractions, and a very short drive from historical sites. My wife and I stayed with two teens, and had plenty of room. Very old, but certainly part of the charm (and we're usually into "charm"). We would definitely go back. Buffet was large, and offered a lot of food, but kind of cafeteria-like. Still, the best in Nauvoo.
