I met someone there for a breakfast meeting. The food was truly outstanding. $5.00 for a fresh and homemade croissant with bacon, egg and cheese. So yummy! I will definitely be going back. Everything there is awesome. Their baked goods are superior.

I love independent destination bakeries like this and have reviewed at least a dozen.

But I have two issues with Three Tarts.
1. crowded and noisy .... or cozy?
2. crazy expensive .... or fairly priced for the quality?

I'm gonna go with "cozy-ish" for the first question, and "pricey" for the second.
Expect to pay $1.05 for one thumbprint cooky and $20.75 for an apple pie. Note that the world-famous Julian apple pie sells for $16. hmmmmmm.

My husband and I split a piece of yellow cake with chocolate frosting and confetti on it, reminded me of a kid's birthday party. I had a good cup of coffee and my husband enjoyed his iced tea. The staff was pleasant and it was nice to sit outside under an umbrella.

This is a wonderful hidden gem in the Northern suburbs. They have wonderful pastries, but be prepared to pay the price ~ this place is not cheap. They have a spacious dining area and offer soups and sandwiches as well as coffee drinks. It is always packed so if you want a specific cake, come early or order ahead.
