“Fantastic views & location, good quality accommodation, lots of thoughtful touches & a warm welcome”

Wonderful scenic location - the best view we've ever had in 30 years of self catering. Well arranged accommodation, good quality beds/furniture etc and probably the best equipped kitchen we've ever had. Plus the only place we've been that has information on how to work everything in the house, and organised in easy to find fashion. Lovely welcome pack & welcome from Nikki, flowers, home made cake etc. Also loved the "provisions" stocked in the freezer from Nikki - langoustines, scallops, scones, crumbles - all availalbe with payment via an honesty box. We availed ourselves to crumble and scones - all excellent. All this plus wifi, and mountain bikes can be made available if that wasn't enough! If you like good quality, cosy accommodation, peace & quiet, stunning location and a friendly welcome, plus lots of thoughtful touches, this is the place for you.

“A wonderful family celebration at Tigh Na Creagan”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Tigh Na Creagan was all we had hoped: well-equipped, well-cared for, and beautiful. The home, situated on Loch Sunart, offered impressive views at all times of the day. We were never lacking for things to do, as the owners supplied bikes, walking maps, recommendations and many ideas to fill our time. Although the weather was not gloriously sunny all the time, we had more than enough activities to fill our week there. Beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, congenial locals, and delicious food. What a vacation!

“A Glorious Place!”
Reviewed 28 May 2013 for a stay in August 2011

We holidayed here in Summer 2011 and it will forever be a most treasured and beloved place (5 adults and 3 children ages 4, 7 and 9)
The most wonderful setting and the most stunning views.
House lovely ... views onto the loch and very well equipped!
Nikki recommended a local fisherman who sold us the freshest and most delicious Langoustines straight from the loch... fantastic (as was the price!)
Lovely biscuits and welcome pack on arrival!
Sanna Bay was stunning with white sands, glorious sunshine, blue skies and... freezing water!
It was our last big family holiday together... as my father sadly, suddenly passed away the following October.
Thank you Nikki for some lovely, treasured memories!

“An undiscovered gem in an amazing location”

We rented the cottage for two weeks during which various members of our family joined us for a few days at different times.....with three well-appointed bedrooms, two of which had en-suite facilities (one even had its own lounge/kitchen area) this was ever a problem. All the facilities required for self-catering were on hand - there was a large patio with table and chairs, four mountain bikes, an extrensive garden with two lilly ponds and a barbeque. The cottage was adjacent to a private jettyfrom which we were able to book a boat trip directly to/from the jetty to Tobermoray for the day.....this was an excellent trip taking in dolphin and seal watching and still allowing three hours at Tobermoray to have a superb fish lunch at the Fish Cafe and a browse of the local shops. A five minute walk from the cottage takes you to the Salen Hotel and here too superlatives apply....they arranged for us to have a lobster dinner with langoustines and it was presented wonderfully and tasted delightful.....bar lunches were also of a very high quality and the staff were without exception very helpful and informative. We enjoy walking and were well served with oak wood walks about ten minutes from the cottage - these taking us to the other side of Loch Sunart. Other sightseeing included a couple of visit to the white sands of Sanna beach - breathtaking and a tour of the Ardnamurchan lighthouse - this representing the most westerly point in the UK mainland. Whilst the roads in the area are narrow and twisty it was never a problem in touring around the area. And, if all that was not enough, the weather over the two weeks was superb - sunny and long days (getting dark around 1115pm). The cottage and the area around cannot be recommeded enough!
