This mill was refurbished in the late 1950s and is the only functioning grist mill in the area. Though the mill wheels are now electrically run, they do grind their own corn meal but the museum itself also shows life as it used to be along with demonstrators who card, spin and weave wool as well as linen, and they also weave rag rugs. This was also an important stop in the underground railroad. - Even the setting along the Salt Creek is lovely.
