Quaint & quirky. Chefs are friendly. We had tomato basil soup which was delicious by my husband ordered a second bowl. Puck two is a good menu choice : soup & 1/2 sandwich. Small menu

We were in town for our anniversary. Granted we were off the normal breakfast, lunch, dinner schedule and were looking for a late dinner. Where better than the "kitchen"? When we paid the cover I asked, you do serve food, right and the girl responded, yes. We found a seat at a folding table with 4 other people. We waited to be served and no one came so we went to the bar to get our drinks. The band started and they were terrific!! Finally flagged down a server and after taking our simple order of one order of nachos he returned to say, " the kitchen was closed".
Eat somewhere else and come for the music!!

I knew that the entertainment this night would be filling the place up so we went early to get choice seats. It is a smaller space, long and narrow, only 2 tables in width. There is an overflow room with a tv playing the stage if you need a stretch.
The sound for the entertainment is better about halfway between the stage and kitchen.
Nice bar runs the length of the room, kitchen is completely open. Probably not best to sit there unless you like to watch that, smell and see everything. It's not bad, just need to know it's set up that way.
Menu is a new spin on recognizable dishes. No french fries kind of place. The meatloaf was tempting but I had a spicy ginger garlic barbeque chicken disk with veggie side and a ginger rice with some beans in it. Chicken was nice, lots of sauce on it. Medium heat. Oh by the way, the chips and salsa appetizer was not great. Bought baked chips and more hot than tasty salsa. Didn't eat much of that at all. Anyway, my meal was ok but I wouldn't get it again. The pizza sizes are a large and the small is a half of one of those, like they cut the round pizza in half and you get 4 slices. Again, not a bad thing, just pointing it out. The typing was good, gouda cheesy good. The crust was dried out, didn't look homemade at all. Basically scraped the good gouda-ness off and left the crust.
Nice wine, beer, drink selection. Lots of fun things to look at, the chandeliers, art, staff, and stuff.
Plan to go back, maybe I'll get something scrumptious and up the rating.

Food is original and great! This is one of the favorite "local" places to go. It's a hidden gem for the locals! We had the gumbo and it was perfect! Excellent seasoning! Informal atmosphere and they have live music!

one of my favorite places to go. The owner and the wait staff are all friendly. This is not a typical food place. It has a unique character.
