“A little pricey, but a great way to spend the day”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

We have a grandparent membership, and our grandkids (ages 4 and 3) really enjoy spending time here. The Africa exhibit is wonderful because you can see the animals roaming together. Nice, clean paths make it easy to push a stroller, and they do have wagons to rent. We always bring our own snacks and find a picnic table and take a little rest, but they do have a snack shop which is indoors if you prefer. There is also a petting zoo and little playground inside the zoo with rock climbing walls. Make sure you visit the other awesome playgrounds located outside the zoo but inside Glen Oak Park.

“great little zoo”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

This zoo is one of the nicer ones in the area, and while it is small the grounds it is on are impeccable. The Lion/tiger/giraffe area is wonderful it really feels like the animals are roaming free. The lagoon is wonderful and the walking trails are fun especially if you are into photography at all beautiful location for pictures.

If you keep an eye on the website, they offer free zoo days.

“Smaller Zoo than most.”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

A smaller zoo than most but has a new lion and Zebra area. It's a little pricey for what you get to see.

“Great place to spend a couple hours with”
Reviewed 30 January 2014 via mobile

My family has an annual membership. The zoo is a great place to spend a couple hours once or twice month in good weather. It's small enough that my 4-year-old can easily walk the whole park, and large enough to offer some bigger animals. If you're looking for healthy options or anything vegetarian, skip the concessions-not even a veggie burger or grilled cheese to be found. They won't let you carry in to the concession building either, so find a nice picnic table outside.

“Good Zoo, but not the best in the world.”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

This is a small zoo that is good for kids. It is easy to walk around in and easy to get to. It doesn't have everything, but it has much of what my friend's kids were into, like tigers and other wild cats.
