Stayed here for 2 days and couldn't wait to leave. The room was old, dirty, smelly, uncomfortable, dusty, loud air condtioner that sounded like a large truck was passing by every time it came on and the free breakfast was just as bad. This hotel has free internet wi-fi service, but we couldn't get it to work in our room. Had to go out to noisy pool atrium to get service.

Room Tip: Stay in a room close to the front desk if you want to use their free inroom internet wi-fi service.

This hotel was an older facility, but looked to be working on updates. The staff was very friendly and must be used to getting asked questions about directions. It was nice to have printed directions for our destination upon request. They were very helpful. Also, it was nice to have a bowl of fruit on the counter for the guests. Very thoughtful idea. The hotel rooms opened up to the center of the facility where there was a small concession, game area, pool tables, the pool and lots of seating and tables. The only thing I didn't like was the cool draft I felt while in the courtyard. There were lots of restaurant options and a large shopping mall close by.

We are involved in the media, covering motorcycle races, and travel to 40-60 races per year. As a result, we visit a LOT of campgrounds and motels. This is one motel we always make a point of staying at, and recommend to our friends! The prices are excellent, the employees have always been pleasant and courteous, and we have always found or room to be clean and in good order. My youngest daughter actually planned her camp schedule around our trip, this year... not only because she loves the Peoria race tracks, but because she did NOT want to miss out on "the motel with the awesome pool and all the trees, inside!"
The complimentary Wi-Fi is a HUGE asset, and it doesn't crash or bog down the way some motels' service does. This is a tremendous plus, when we are uploading race coverage. Our last two visits, when they realized there were three people in our party, they even made a point of delivering extra towels and toiletries to or room each evening!

Room Tip: If you get a chance, try the restaurant's pizza. Smothered in real mozzarella and loaded with to...

This was by far the filthiest hotel I have ever checked into. Our entire softball team along with several others from around the country were pre-booked into this location. Every team had the same complaint. We were able to leave due to our mattress being blood soaked, easily a 10 inch diameter stain that was definitely old. Toe nails, dirt and hairs were everywhere. The furniture and room amenities were at least 20 years old if not more. Without exaggeration, this place is a health hazard. Hard to judge the service, the staff was battered by unhappy families all day long. They let us out of the pre-booked commitment but had to know our room was equipped with a bloody mattress.

This hotel has worn well over the past 40 years. The staff is exceptional the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the rates are reasonable. If you are looking for a place to sleep and something to eat when you get up the Grand will meet your needs.

I hadn't been in the hotel since 1995 and at that time it really needed bulldozing! To my surprise, this little hotel has had a great comeback! As a retired hotelier, I can't tell you how pleased my husband and I were to find the hotel spotless and tended to by a thoughtful and caring staff. Our son was involved in an event there this weekend, so we were in the ballrooms, too! I was very impressed with how professional the set was and how well-kept the banquet chairs and tables, etc. were. The walls and carpets looked new. Although I was never crazy about the carpet in the Holidome, it looked great and the pool, too, was clean and looked like it had just had a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant and bar area had been redone and, again, it looked freshly manicured. It was certainly well worth the price -- and dog friendly, too! Congratulations!

Room Tip: From experience the rooms facing Southeast are warmer, but I certainly didn't notice it. I woul...

On first sight the hotel looks run down and dirty from the outside. However when you walk in you realize that the hotel is still in good condition. It is not nearly as nice as it must have been a number of years ago. However, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, there is a restaurant and bar right in the lobby (didn't go so I can't comment). There are also some older video games and a pool that kids would like even though they aren't top quality. My only issues were with the workout facility which had an old run-down treadmill, a stationary bike, stair-stepper and an elipitical. Also the breakfast is not that great, mostly just breads and cereal although there were eggs and potatoes available, it didn't seem too appetizing. Overall, I would recommend this place as a great value.
