Just passing through Peoria on our way back from "snow birding" in Florida. This property has been redone and is quite nice. Love the decor, little bistro, and staff -- even the new Speakman showerheads were a nice touch! Only downside is access to hotel.

Each year, I spend a few nights in Peoria for a music conference. I've stayed in nearly a dozen of Peoria's hotels, always arranged by the Visitors Bureau. I was surprised to be placed at the Courtyard, one of the more expensive options in Peoria. I had no complaints with the room--it was comfortable and clean. The desk staff was cordial. It was on par with many of the other hotels I've stayed at throughout the area--clean and non-descript. I would have been quite pleased with a bill that was $50 less a night especially as there was no breakfast included. If you have an expense account and aren't covering the cost yourself, you're in for a good night's sleep. Otherwise, unless you get a good price through Hotwire or the such, you're better off saving a few bucks on just another room.

This was very nice and convenient to Bradley University. It is really hard to find. My GPS helped but even it got turned around. It is on a Dead-end Road behind the shopping center. The Bar Tender was delightful and mixes good but expensive drinks. We did not eat at the hotel so we can't review the facility. We will use this property when we visit our Grandson at Bradley.

This place is not bad.. but Courtyards dont provide breakfast even to the elite memebers. The corporate business is keeping the lights on in these hotels. The rates are higher on the weekdays and lower on the weekends.. that tells the story. This hotel's survival is based on corporate travel $ at CAT.

We expected a lot from this 3-star hotel. The front lobby was modern - a nice comfortable common area with a Starbucks, mini-grocery and the main desk. Beyond that, the rooms were OK. Here's the good part: The beds were very comfortable, room was clean, Wi-fi was free and good quality, nice work space / desk area. Hotel is close to the highway and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. We were less than happy that we could hear all of our neighbors late at night and early in the morning. The walls are thin. The hotel is hard to find. The access road is off of the mall parking lot so you get there by going in to the Northwoods Mall. There are 2 other hotels back in the same area accessed via the same road (Residence Inn and another (?)). As others mentioned I can imagine that this is a problem with GPS if you don't know the area - we did so it was a little easier for us.

The deal breaker was the air conditioner in the room. When we arrived the wall unit was starting and stopping, starting and stopping. We adjusted the thermostat but the problem continued. We should have asked for another room right then but did not since we were tired and had unpacked. I played with the wall unit cover and magically the A/C started to behave better. Not sure why, but we were fine - until 3am when the unit began to start and stop again. We managed to find the thermostat again and shut the A/C off altogether so we could go back to bed. Hopefully, not all of the rooms have this problem, but this one was pretty bad.

Though you're next to the mall, it is not within walking distance.

There are many choices in this area and I think we can do better next time.

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room to avoid the elevators.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. I apologize we did not provide you with the experience you expected while staying at our hotel; guest satisfaction is of the utmost importance and we value your feedback. I want to assure you that the issues with the air conditioner and noise are being addressed. We hope with our continued efforts to improve every stay for our guests, you will try the Courtyard again next time you stay in the area.

Sincerely
