“Amazing!!”
Reviewed 26 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This was a surprise for my 30th birthday which I truly enjoyed. There was 4 of us and our little dog in Jenny's cottage and we had so much space. The cottage inside was perfect, it had everything you could need for a trip too. The kitchen was full of utensils and accessories. There was more here than I have at home. There was nothing that I could think of that it didn't have or needed. It was all very clean too. Each bedroom was very spacish and had its own bathroom, which is great for extra privacy. We received a welcome pack too which had lots of local ingredients including bread, eggs, cheese, orange juice and milk and more.
The outside garden is great for the dogs or small children as its gated.
There was some lovely local walks and some nice pubs a few mile away which were great.
This cottage one of the best I've stayed in and we all had such a lovely break. Would be even better in the summer to be able to sit outside and look at the amazing views.
I cannot fault or give anything negative about our stay
Thank you for having us and we will definitely return again

“Loved this cottage & grounds - brilliant with young children.”
Reviewed 16 March 2016 for a stay in August 2015

Owners were very accommodating with extra beds and cots for the children, we stayed with a 7 month old, and a 2, a 3, and a 4 year old and felt everything we needed was provided. Lovely property, big rooms, huge living area and brilliant outdoor space. Can't wait to stay again.

“Properties of distinction”
Reviewed 13 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Another fantastic place to stay - warm, cozy and comfortable providing all the home comforts with a touch of luxury we loved it. We took the walk out to Lacey's Caves - wonderful. Very brisk and breathtaking. We will recommend and dfinitely return to try other Rowley Estate properies (this being our third in 5 months!)

“Perfect Weekend Away”

We arrived at Jennys Croft on Friday afternoon from West Yorkshire. I'd been speaking to Jilly & Christine prior to our arrival and had arranged an early check in.

This property has the wow factor and both myself and my partner were in awe at how beautiful it is. We dropped our bags in the entrance hall and went to explore. The welcome basket we received was stunning and such a lovely touch.

The location was fab and we did a couple of long walks with our dog and visited Keswick on Saturday for the day.

I asked for a recommendation for a meal on Saturday evening and Jilly expressed that the Crown Inn at Kirkoswald was a good choice. The food and service were exceptional and as it was only a couple of miles from the property, it would have been lovely to walk to (had the weather been kinder!!)

Overall we had a perfect weekend away and will definitely be returning!!

I stayed in this beautiful 1600 barn conversion with my wife and 2 children (10 & 8). The place was modern, clean and large. The check in was very smooth and a beautiful basket of food and drink provided. The area is great to explore and felt very welcomed in this house.
