9 friends each had there own luxurious room with ensuite to rest in luxury. Meanwhile we gathered in the spacious dining room and view sitting areas whe nit out hiking the beautiful country side. This is a fully equipped, self catering, gorgeous facility for the outdoor focussed group looking to pamper themselves in the down time.
From the moment you approach Hause Hall you know that you are in for a treat: The views are outstanding, the peace-uplifting and the comfort luxurious.
We celebrated a birthday with family and comfortable seats 18 around the table. One Saturday night Chef Nick Foster catered for us and took away all the washing up leaving us to relax in front of the fire.
Walking from the house provides lots of choice. Early mornings you can watch the deer in the neighbouring fields before they escape up the fells when most people are just getting up.
The accommodation is practically perfect. One thing to consider is to ensure that good sleepers take the Boredale room in Cruikshank Barn. I think that the underfloor heating system may be in the store underneath and could be considered by some to be rather intrusive during the night. We swapped rooms and my son slept perfectly well as usual without noticing!
We stayed in three houses at Hause Hall in Martindale. The houses were very welcoming, comfortable, beautifully maintained & well equipped. The location was idyllic with wonderful walks straight from the house. We were lucky to be blessed with
the best weather. All in the party want to return. We have stayed in numerous different houses in the Lake District but this is the best.
12 of us spent our Silver Anniversary trip at this astonishing property - magnificent inside and outside! Over 25 years of biannual adventures, our friendships have formed and strengthened in some wonderful properties and locations. We have gathered enduring memories along the way, but none more special than those made at House Hall and Cruik Barn - for many reasons! The design and attention to detail in these properties leaves nothing to be desired and we were treated to sublime views in perfect winter sunshine. Faultless.
Our group of 17 friends stayed at the lovely House Hall, Cruik Barn and Stables for a weekend of celebration. The views of the hills from the property are simply stunning, The quality of the houses exceeded our expectations and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay. I have already recommended The Rowley Estates to other friends and colleagues and would love book again if I can find another excuse to!
Hause Hall Farm and Cruik Barn provide superb accommodation in one of the most beautiful and peaceful settings in the Lake District. Fabulous views, walks from the doorstep and little need to use the car during our stay. This was our second visit, with three generations of the family. The little ones enjoyed playing in the field, watching the sheep, going down to the nearby stream, and managed the walk up to the top of Hallin Fell, and down to the lake. We all enjoyed relaxing in the evenings looking at the stunning views.
A beautiful collection of buildings in a fantastic setting. 20 of us spent a long weekend here for a family birthday. The rooms were all very nice and the kitchen well equipped. We ordered a Tesco delivery for the first night to stock up. Plenty of good walks in the area and we walked to the steamer ferry to visit Pooley Bridge on the Sunday for a great lunch at the Pooley Bridge Inn.
Great accommodation. Would recommend.
