“Peaceful universe in the beautiful city of Rockford”
Reviewed 12 August 2014 via mobile

You have too step out of your suburban mediocrity and step into the beautiful world of Rockford Illinois. Once internationally known for its precision manufacturing and design industries Rockford like many American industrial cities have evolved or gone through a metamorphosis process. Anderson Gardens is a result of the Metamorphosis. The city takes great pride in its trees, gardens, and soft scales. Visit Rockford and make Anderson Gardens your destination. Bring a well charged phone camera or regular camera. These gardens are pure living art. A masterfully designed and ever evolving mini universe of sensuality. Sit and read. Picnic. Get close. Live. I was not the same person after visiting.

“Gardens”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

I really enjoyed touring this garden, we went during late summer, so there weren't very many flowers bloomed, but there were plenty of waterfalls and great scenery. I do not live here, but if I did I would have wanted my wedding here.

“BEST MID SIZE EXOTIC GARDEN IN MIDWEST”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Peaceful is the word that best describes this Jewel of the Midwest. The fact that it is located in Illinois is a plus. I have visited numerous Japanese Gardens in Japan as well as in the US and this ranks as among one of the "Best Kept" and growing. This is my third visit and I recommend it to everyone who want to learn more of the culture of the Japanese garden and to develop the patience it will take to grow and develop such a phenomenon.

“Beautiful Setting in Rockford”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Some friends suggested we visit the Japanese Gardens in Rockford last Saturday. We have lived in Chicago all our lives and have never heard of this place. What a wonderful surprise. We spent two hours strolling the grounds and enjoying the peaceful environment. We will visit again
