“Fantastic venue”
Reviewed 23 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Stayed for a week with three generations of the family to celebrate a birthday. Ancroft Manor was perfect and met all our needs. Space for the children to run around and space for the adults to escape to peace and quiet. Not once did we feel overcrowded. The house itself was beautiful, really homely feel. It gave us everything we needed. The hot tub was a great hit and the children loved all the outside space. Cant wait to return.

“Fantastic house, great location”

We spent a week in this house with my grown up children and little grandchildren. The house is spacious and well equipped, clean and comfortable. The outside space is amazing, large enclosed garden overlooking the countryside. The hot tub was well used, every evening was spent in there! A really lovely treat for us.
The house is just 1.5 miles from the A1, so getting around was very easy, Berwick about 10 minutes,, Bamburgh and Seahouses just 30 minutes away. So location is ideal, in a very small, quiet village. There are no local amenities, but Tesco and Asda are about 10-15 minutes away on outskirts of Berwick, so very easy to get anything you might need.
I would definately recommend this property and we really hope to return very soon.

“Excellent place to stay”
Reviewed 20 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Our 1st time staying here at Ancroft Manor and it most definitely won't be the last. We were that pleased with the accommodation we've book again for next. Lovely comfortable and spacious property with plenty of room for large groups of people. Perfect base to explore the beautiful places of Northumberland. Large farmhouse kitchen with Aga 2 great have the 2 sitting rooms and a large space to eat in the dining room, all bedrooms were very spacious. Great idea to have a family room with ensuite bathroom.

“Lovely house and grounds.”
Reviewed 4 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Ancroft Manor is a fine spacious house more than 100 years old, but in comfortable modern condition, good heating, mainly well equipped kitchen (though no small sharp knives) with Aga, 2 sitting rooms, 6 bedrooms. The large hot tub was very popular with and much used by our party of 10. Ancroft is a tiny village in attractive countryside with no facilities except an interesting old church but you can get to Tesco in Berwick in 20-25 minutes (though Tesco surprisingly not mentioned in 'Information for visitors'). Within 30-45 minutes drive are many splendid attractions like Lindisfarne, Berwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh Castle etc.

Liked best: Spaciousness and charm of house.
Liked least: Our bathroom lacked any surfaces on which to put one's washing things and the door handle was difficult for my wife who has arthritic problems.

“Fabulous weekend ”
Reviewed 12 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Me and my friends had a fantastic time here last weekend! It's true what other people have said, the photos just don't do the place justice! We were greeted by a bottle of wine and some biscuits which was a lovely touch and the hot tub is amazing! We couldn't find the fishing lake/river though? We have already tried to book up for May bank holiday but it looks like it's fully booked!

Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Even though it has 6 bedrooms (wow!) we stayed just the 4 of us, 2 couples.. We stayed for 3 nights & it was excellent! The hot tub was amazing!! It has 7 seats so we had loads of room - perfect! Chilling out in there looking at the stars was unreal :-) ... Definitely a must for going back! Also the real fire was lovely to relax by after being in the hot tub....everything was excellent about the whole place :-) (wish we were still there now!) p.s... & the bed me & my partner stayed in was sooo comfy, even better then mine & that's saying something :-) GREAT place!!

An amazing house! Well maintained, cosy, and quiet. A bottle of wine and flowers on arrival then a hot tub overlooking the country fields - what more could you ask for?
