“Just like family !!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

I have been going to Lynfred Winery for many yeaers and have been a member of their wonderful wine club for the same. Even though the business is run by family, eveyone employed there are part of that family. From the time you walk in to you leave, the staff is so nice and knowledgable and really go out of their way to make the experience unforgettable. Even if it is only to pick up the wine of the month. My fiancee and I love going there and buying a bottle of wine and share it in the private back room. Or have a flight at the beginning og the month to see which white is our favorite. We recently brought eight of our good friends for a tour and a tasting. Now that was a lot of fun....A gem in the small city of Roselle for sure.

“Epicurean experience ehh, but great wine!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014 via mobile

I was disappointed with the Epicurean experience but pleasantly pleased by the wine. The staff was a nice, but a little snotty at the tasting bar. At the experience, the chef seemed disinterested in telling us about the food. He read what was on the menu then booked it out of the room. The hostess said very little about the wine, but she was nice. I did not feel it was worth the money my friends and I paid, but appreciated the beautiful location and great wine! Will be back but will not pay extra for any if their "experiences." You pay to sit in a room to talk vs. talking in their tasting area!

“Fine Wines from Illinois?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

You bet! I remember visiting here when they began tastings in their 100 year old home. They had just won a gold metal for their Chardonnay. Now they have a tour, gift shop & tasting room with beautiful wood trim. Do try the Cab & Dessert Wines-yummy! Well worth the drive.

“Lynfred Winery a Must!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

Lynfred Winery in Roselle is a must for wine lovers. They offer tastings and a wide selection of their own wines and gifts. They have various wine on the month clbs that fit all tastes. The chocolate-covered wine bottles make a great holiday present. The annual Octoberfest is awesome. They have a pig roast, corn on the cob to die for, oom pah bands, and reasonably priced German wines. They do have a bead and breakfast, but we've never stayed there. A person wouldn't expect that there is such a wondeful place in the bedroom community of Roselle, but there is.

“Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

In a beautiful old house in Roselle, Illinois you will find Lynfred Winery. Lynfred does not grow their own grapes but instead buys them from locations all over the USA. They have the grapes brought to their Roselle locations where they are turned into some nice wines. I highly recommend stopping in on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and doing a tasting. If you find something you like you can take a few bottles back home with you. Especially fun is their annual Oktoberfest. Think of any other Oktoberfest you might have been too but instead of beer there is wine!
