“Great Watering Hole”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

I came in here one night while in from out of town and discovered this place has the most amazing selection of beers on tap. That and they have a dj when the night draws near. I ordered a Goose Island Stout which was so high in alcohol content it tastes syrupy to texture of the liquid. It's very good but be warned if you don't like stouts then you should not play with this. My friend ordered a Dragon's Milk and we had a great time talking with a couple of the ladies that bartend there who were ironically heading to our city in Nashville soon. Really wish I had more time to enjoy the selection of beers on tap.

“Good but not great”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

This is a fun place to eat. the neighborhood js lively. They have outdoor seating. We were there for game 7 of the NHL playoffs for the Blackhawks, and of course every TV was tuned to the game. The place was as lively as you might expect. The server was friendly and attentive. But the food was nothing spectacular. Tasty, yes. And in fact the spinach salad was darn good. But the Linquini Diablo was only adequate. The fish in it was good, but the sauce was basically just like a bland canned tomato sauce. I hoped for more. That said, if you view it as a bar or a joint and not a restaurant, the food was pretty darn good.

“Set Your Expectations - This Is Bar - And A Noisy One”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

I was looking for a dinner before heading out on a flight the next morning. We'll deal with the good, the average and the 'needs improvement',

First, this place has a fantastic selection of draft beers including multiple selections of local IPAs. The wine list even listed som better than average wines.

The food was average with some needing improvement. My wedge salad was alrge, crisp, fresh and smothered in (perhaps a bit too much) blue cheese dressing. The gumbo was tasty and spicy. The sliders (pork and brisket) were average and overpowered with the barbecue sauces.

There were 2 bar tenders for the bar and a full restaurant. There should have been a third bar tender. But, my bar tender was friendly and quickly came to my attention when called.

If I wanted a cold beer, this is the place, If you wanted a nice meal, choose another restaurant. There are several nearby in walking distance.

“Have a group dinner, avoid this restaurant”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

I hosted 55 people at this restaurant. As the host I was appalled that they gave us only 2 servers to manage drinks, menus, and service. What made it worse was the attitude of one waiter who was just plain RUDE! In the course of 3 hours no manager came over to check on the group or to help expidite. He/She must have been enjoying the company of a much smaller group spending much less than I did. Not worth the trip unless you want a beer and a taco at the bar with no service.

“Nice simple dining and good beer”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Went with a business colleague. Had good beer and simple food - burger. All cooked well. Service was also good and fast. Price was very good. You have to park in the parking garage next door but don't be put off by the $13 per car charge. They will validate your ticket so the whole bill was less than $40 with tip for two meals with beers.
